Oops I think I broke my car
To cut a long story short, something broke and it makes this sound now, the knocks ramp up and slow down with throttle input .. post your guesses for what’s broken

I like to guess... How about some more info first. Do the knocks happen in park while revving or only in drive?

Drain the oil and look for gold flakes. If it’s clean, that’s good. If you can see stars, then it’s time to look for a motor. Good news is that they are cheap.

Bad news flakes in oil, next step is to scope the cylinder walls. I will keep you guys updated.
according to this diagram we have 5 bearings for crankshaft. However there are no fewer than 10 different marks or varieties for each bearing type 1,2,3 each has 10 making 30.
so are there different Mark’s different sizes etc to accommodate repair and wear on older crankshafts ?
and let’s not jump gun on new engine, repair here might be doable sometimes devil you know is better than devil you dont. At least if there’s no other damage I know this engine is otherwise ok and repairing the crankshaft bearings is all that’s needed.

Yes, different crankshaft bearings are for different amount of wear. If you got lucky, you will get away with replacing bearings with same size. If not, you will have to resurface the crankshaft to the next smaller size and get correct bearings for it. It is in case if there are no other engine issues.

Now that we know your motor has failed, Can you describe in more detail exactly what happened? So that we don’t make the same mistake?
was your oil level low? What type of oil were you running?
how long did you have the motor revving while you tried to get the car moving in snow?
did your Michelin CrossClimate tires get stuck in the snow? Is that even possible?

That sucks, sorry bud. I wonder what caused the low oil pressure. I remember you replaced your hp fuel pump gaskets. Did you also pull the valve covers?
