We got all that snow that spread through Texas, Oklahoma, through Tennessee and up. We rarely get any snow here so 5" is quite a bit. With temps hitting 0, and ice days before, it got messy. Yet, today, my wife and I braved the streets to run a few errands. The Lexus did us proud. I have RWD and average tires, but we drove over snow covered and semi cleared streets like a champ. My wife was a nervous wreck the entire way to and back, but she finally exhaled once we got back in the garage. The only issue was my boneheaded move at the beginning of the journey. The streets in our neighborhood were cleared, but the road between the two islands which is a drive through, was piled up with snow. When I pulled out of the driveway, I went for it. Car bottomed out in the snow and I couldn't move. Tires just spun. I grabbed the shovel, knocked out most of the snow underneath the car and behind the tires and was able to back out. Smooth sailing from there. All in all, an enjoyable day in the snow on the streets of the big city!
