Can I get an opinion on these control arm bushings? 2007 LS460
So, I was pretty sure I would be replacing all 8 control arms plus tie rods.
I took it to a shop that a friend recommend and they just replaced the tie rods.
They said the control arms don't need replacing, but I'm not sure if that's true; I thought that for sure they needed replacement. Here's pictures of the top's and bottom's bushings. Would you guys say these definitely need to be replaced?
Also, is a broken tie rod end typically caused from bad control arms? or is it unrelated?
Thanks all, really appreciate your advice.

Those bushings are shot and in need of replacement in the near future. Bad control arms can speed up the failure of a tie rod end, but are likely not the "cause" of the tie rod going bad overall.

You can stick a fork in those control arms. They’re done.

No offense, but if you friend missed failed control arms after expecting it, I would think twice before letting him work/inspect on my car.
