LS runs different after repair
I don’t think I am imagining things here but I had the dealer change the seals that were leaking engine oil out of the cars high pressure fuel pumps.
so I drive the car around and it’s seems to have improved throttle response and the trans shifts slightly firmer.
Can anyone tell me what may have influenced what here?

The LS460 like many modern cars has an adaptive transmission. Adaptive transmissions gradually learn from the way the car is driven and adjust the shift points to maximize fuel efficiency. When the battery is disconnected the transmission memory is cleared. One possible explanation for the changed performance is that the battery was disconnected during the recent dealer repair. The car will likely gradually return to the way you remember it.

If the dealer disconnected the battery (they are supposed to), it would reset the engine and transmission ECUs (and all other computers). The ECUs are going to re-learn parameters based on current weather and your driving habits. New throttle and transmission mappings might cause a different driving experience that you are custom too.
