Your cruise is not on in that picture. To be clear, I don't mean that you have to be engaged and "cruising." I just mean, if you press the ON/OFF button on the end of the short stalk and turn the system on, then that TPMS pressure tree shown in your picture will no longer be offered to be a viewable selection. I don't know why. I doubt it varies from 07 - 12, but I don't know that as a fact.

ON EDIT: Oh shoot, I'm wrong. It is on. But on my 2010, when I turn it on, not only does it say CRUISE in the upper right like yours, it also says something in the system screen. I think it says, RADAR or TRAD (depending the mode (Radar Cruise or Traditional Cruise). Or something like that. But yes, now I'm all jelly that you can cruise and see your TPMS!

Maybe the TPMS pressures screen runs away from home only on cars equipped with Radar Cruise Control. lwphat66 - Does yours have Radar Cruise Control?

I've always thought the LS seats - unlike all other models - were actually cooled (via peltier / thermoelectric) vs just ventilated on other models. Some detail here although links no longer work

After all you were right. It does have 2 peltier elements with heat sinks. I was looking for cooling elements in a wrong place. I thought, the elements were a part of the blower assembly but it is not. Cooling elements installed inline after the blower. Below are 2 cooling elements:


And a heat exchange element with wiring to peltier element can be see. I believe, the metal plate with part number is for heat dissipation in the under seat space.

 

No, I do not have either PCS or DRCC. It could very well be that or something that changed after the 2007-2009 models. There is nothing on my displays that show when the cruise control is engaged or not, only that cruise light on when the stalk button has been pressed.

Is there a part number available for that part? I will say the number shown is not a Toyota part number. At least not one I'm familiar with. Toyota part numbers are 5 digits - 5 digits. And the 2nd set of 5 digits is NORMALLY first 2 digits are letters and designate a vehicle. The next 3 digits segment the part into either a trim level or a revision level, or both. The first 5 digits describe what the part is. Seems like (from memory) my seat set part numbers were 77000-AC001. Or 77001-AC001. Something like that. Lots and lots and lots of variations to those numbers for each and every piece and component of the seat. Commonized fasteners usually followed that scheme too, except as to where the vehicle is described. For example, the AC might become an 09 ... which is not a vehicle at all. 2 letters represent a vehicle. AC was an Avalon (900T).

Interesting, I wonder if that was abandoned later on in the LS' model run? My LS460s did not have any kind of cooling effect in the seat, just air circulation...

 

Steve - Is that part from the LX? In any event, the LS is SUPPOSED to be the flagship. So, if that part is implemented, it would seem logical that it be implemented in the flagship vehicle. The cold air being blown under the seat certainly does help ... since we know for sure that the seat uses forced air for cooling.
