So ive called around a few shops and they tell me between 480-600 to swap the plugs out which is really high but from the looks of it I do need to take off a few parts to.get to the plugs so im still debating on that but regardless if I did it myself what's the hour estimation since its quite a few things to remove to do the plugs?
Getting a bit philosophical, everything you do in life for the first time will take much longer, you don't know how much to pull on that electrical plug, what's keeping that cable clipped in, what order to do it in. Whereas a mechanic probably knows the gist of how manufacturers assemble their cars and where to undo what. Then there's the level of neuroticism a given person has, I like to paint mark every corresponding bolt hole so I take more time.
Overall I don't think it's very hard, just keep track of what goes where.
May I also suggest you roll your other thread into this one for clarity and organization's sake.
Spark plug replacement requires only removal air filter boxes, coils, spark plug grommets and spark plugs. You might have to remove harness mounts here and there. If it is something you can do on your own, then yes. You should it yourself.
You have to remove battery and tray as well. Spend the money on a high quality magnetic spark plug socket it will make it much easier. Use the biggest flathead screwdriver you have to pull out the tube seals. The battery side is easy.
Removing the battery tray can be time consuming, hardware gets corroded.
When swapping my plugs I didn't remove the battery tray. I did remove the battery. It's a tight fit but the coil pack will slide out.

This one is hard to reach but not too difficult.
When I replaced spark plugs on my car, I did not touch the battery or its tray.
