Can the oil filter housing be removed with the appropriate tool?
I'm still waiting for my Motivx wrench attachment from Amazon (the seller must be having supply problems because it's been "arriving soon" for 2 weeks). It seems tough to do the change without one of these... is it possible to do the removal with common tools? Thanks.

If you have a 12 point socket large enough or you can use one those oil filter removal tools (below). If you go with an oil filter removal tool, make sure you put something in between the tool and the housing.

AZGS4 thanks for the special wrench link. I ordered one. The one I currently use sticks every time.
This housing comes with the plug for a few dollars more.

In use the one with the notches and use a 27mm socket to loosen and tighten. You can use a standard 3/8 socket end but if the cap is on to tight you can strip out the hole for the socket. I also replaced my plastic housing one for the metal one. Works better when you go to tighten back on.
