HID fogs. Glad that's over...
Installed Morimoto Elite 5K HIDs (9006) in the fog lights - to match the Philips Xtreme Vision 5K Gen 2s. Not over the top difficult - but glad that's over. Pretty straight forward but everything on Lexus is super tight quarters. Plus - the HID harness - made for HEADLIGHTS - doesn't offer a whole lot of LENGTH......(killin me Morimoto). Basically had to wire everything in reverse - starting at the bulbs and work toward the battery - as length would allow.
The under-the-hoods are not exactly "visually pleasing" - but with a few tip ties and tape - throw on the engine compartment covers - and it all looks pretty again.
Now to test it at night to see the performance... Here's some daytime glamour shots....

Perfect colour temp IMO, unless you insist on the 3000K look. I've grown to loath HID ballasts, wiring and all that but for most fog lights there are no LEDs close to being bright enough.

The headlights are (4800k) - so - ok - 5K. The fogs are a true 5k Morimoto HID bulb. Strangely enough, the fogs are slightly less white than the headlights. Even though the Morimoto bulbs have about 90 minutes of use on them - I’m considering swapping them out for some Morimoto 6k’s (but then I may end up less white in the headlights………killin me…)
