Lightbulb installed revised 2013+ control arms on 2008

My factory control arm bushings crapped out at 170,000 then I replaced the bushings with Febest, pre-loaded the suspension before tightening them, craps out after 5k miles because the wife did a bunch of U-turns driving contract delivery for UPS. Replaced again with Febest, craps out again around 8k miles.
Got tired of it and bought OEM 2013+ revised control arms and installed a week ago, we’ll see how long these last, wife doesn’t drive UPS anymore.
I tried to use the old ball joint cuz I can’t find a OEM balljoint sold anywhere without buying the entire knuckle, but the old joint is fused to the arm even after I torch the shlt out of it and hammered it in a vice.
I highly suggest not doing this work yourself, a press is required for the job, also a bunch of jerry rigged/specialized fittings to fit around the old joint to be pressed out with the control arm still attached.

this the old one that was cussed at for hours

My drivers side bit the dust i cannot remember what i bought to replace the OEM ones. So the 2013 ones did bolt right up? Any noticeable difference after you got done? What did you pay for the arms?

Would be interested to see if it makes a difference to ride quality. However I reckon these will last you a lot longer than previous. Well done

Yes they bolt right up, they are completely identical in dimensions. it’s probably a placebo, but the steering return to center is a tad more aggressive than before. I got the arms brand new from eBay user in Japan (jpanime2014) $210 per arm not including tax, but includes 3 day fedex air shipping from japan lol. your other option is lexusOEparts.com they’re a lexus dealer in Akron ohio that has very good prices on OE parts and very good prices on shipping and no tax if out of state. I got 2 front shocks from them and UPS shipping was only $22 total

no difference in ride quality, the steering return to center does feel a tad more aggressive.

I do not know how much you make, but to have LS460 for a beater that must be nice.
