Bit the bullet and splurged for a hardcopy 7 volume set Factory Service manuals. If anyone is interested here is an index of main chapters within each Volume. So if you want to order just a certain volume, then you know what is contained here within. Just thought I would share the info if not already out there somewhere.
Factory Service manuals are worth their weight in gold.....first time one uses them, they pretty much pay for themselves. I am one who likes to work on my own cars. Self satisfaction knowing that the job is done right and no shortcuts taken. Even the best dealerships ( stealerships ) will try to gut you if they can....besides their labor rates and parts prices are exorbitant

I was aware of this as well....but passed on it......always have liked hardcopy documentation directly from manufacturer. .....not some third party re-write and their interpretation.....to each his own....

There is a factory manual available on DVD for around $50-70, you usually can get it on Ebay.

The new hard copy of these manuals is very expensive from the publisher. When I bought my '11 LS460 CPO in '13, I had the dealer get me a set. The retail price was around $1600. I got them for $500 but have no idea what they go for today. They are very thorough with detailed how to explanations. The only problem I have with them is that they have seen little use, maybe 3 times due to a lack of problems with the car. But I'm not complaining (lol).

Jud149.,
I too purchased a CPO '11 LS460L in 2014. It carried a 3 yr warranty as the car only had 10k on it. Car currently has 38k on it. I purchased the manuals as I anticipated problems sometime in the future. Also, I am mechanically inclined so I will use these manuals as a aid. Brand new these manuals were $490 for the 7 volume set....a small price to pay. They will pay for themselves the first time you use them to fix your car. Dealerships or other mechanic shops are a rip off . They will charge high labor rates and throw parts at it sometime in hopes to fix the problem.
Knowledge is power.....and these books are re-saleable when not needed any longer.....there is always someone interested in buying a slightly used copy

Thanx...If you got the manuals from Lexus, I can only guess that's dealer cost at $500 as that is what I paid. They are published by Helm. Inc. who is the car manual publisher for quite a few car manufacturers. I know the cost was around $1600 retail in 2013 for the 7 books as I checked to be sure the dealer wasn't BSing me. I checked the price just now and they're no longer available. Anyway, couldn't agree more that they are nice to have around if you're mechanically inclined. Actually I've had/have service manuals for all the cars I've owned but these are by far the most detailed of any I've ever had.

Here is where I purchased mine....brand new..

When searching for them, I saw prices as high as $2,600....you would be an idiot to pay that kind of price.

I checked Ebay, I could not find anything. Such manuals do sell out quickly and you have to check Ebay periodically to get one of those. But there is a manual from Tradebit (see below), I have used the site for one my Toyotas a long time ago but not recently. Also, it seems the manual is online only. As far as I am aware there is no difference between between 2010 and 2011.

The ultimate would be a TIS techstream computer with a lifetime subscription to the diagnostics...
