Default How much do dealers charge to change spark plugs?

So my 2016 manual says to change spark plugs at 60,000 miles. Thinking about bring it to the dealer and wanted to get an idea of how much this will cost me.

It's quite a job to do this. I did mine a couple of months ago. I believe saw a price on here at $500. It's best to call your dealer, though, for an exact quote.

Ouch… that’s pricey for spark plugs that needs to swapped at 60k miles.

Sometimes Toyota is less money. I did my 2013 plugs myself, it took about 3 hours because the plugs closest to firewall require you to remove parts to access them on both sides. Plugs themselves are pricey too.

Retail for the OEM plugs runs about $15 a pop.

I checked this out when I hit 60k, and the consensus seemed to be that waiting until you hit 100k miles was fine. One poster said his looked so good at 100k that he should have waited until 120k.

I agree, I did mine at 60k and the old ones still looked good. 100k would be fine.

i didn’t change mine until 172,000 miles. no need to sweat over the small stuff if you don’t want to.

the 2 most aft plugs can come out easy if you pop the spark plug rubber seals, once those seals are loose, there’s room to cant and angle the plugs to clear the strut tower. it’s very easy to do

My dealer quoted me $500 too. Stopped by an independent shop just to see how much i can save and was told what many of you guys said, no need to change until 90k-100k miles. I was also told that there were two types, one made of platinum and other with iridium. Platinum ones can last more than 120k miles and iridium 90-100k.

I would stay with OEM iridium's. And they apparently last longer.

just wonder did you feel any difference/improvements after changing the spark plugs at 172k miles?
Thanks,
