Default LS600HL Alarm, VSC, Brake, and PCS light PLEASE HELP

Hello Fellas,

I haven’t posted in a very long time. I have an 08 Ls600hL. I started seeing the Red “BRAKE” light turn on from time to time as I drove. A day or two later, I opened the car’s door and w/o even starting the car, there was an alarm going off. As soon as I started the car I have PCS, VSC, and BRAKE lights as well as an alarm coming from the dash/cluster area.

the car goes into gear, it drives, and after a minute or two, all the lights turn off except for the intermittent red “BRAKE” light.

if I turn the car off and start it right away, it’ll start w/o any alarms nor lights.

I tested the battery with the car off and it has 12.6 volts. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it but the issues remain.

I tightened the gas cap but nothing. I’m buying a new gas cap.

please any help. Has anyone have this issues at the same time?????

thank you in advance

Many auto part stores will do a free diagnostic for you. OBD2 port. You really need to do this rather than field a bunch of guesses.

i thought about this. But didn’t think it would show anything since the lights/alarms go away by the time I get there. I’ll see if I can find an OBD2 scanner

The only time I have seen the alarm / red brake light on, without starting the car, is when the dc brake motor went bad. I believe when there is no brake pressure, or when the pump is commanded on with no increase in pressure the alarm sounds regardless of whether the car is on. I suspect your brake motor is going bad although it could be a sensor, low fluid, relay, ect. It is not safe to drive imo.
