Looks nice, enjoy it. Few cars ride smoother or quieter.

130XXX miles
Grey leather
Dark birds eye maple/2017 dark ash wood
NON-ML
Soft close doors
NON-air suspension
$11000 OTD
2 master keys
Manuals
All OE tools/rims
Rear heated heats, front climate seats
Park assist
18 inch rims
Only one crash (front bumper pass side, no fender damage)
SWB (redundant info being an 07)

This car actually reflects exactly the options I wanted in an acceptable interior and exterior cosmetic condition for the price. I didn't want Air, ML, or anything fancy in the rear seats to keep overall weight as low as possible. There is some "severe" damage to the pass rear door in the form of 3 deep and 1/8 inch wide scratches that are very bad. Drives me insane looking at them even if they disappear from more than 10 ft away, it also has a dent and scratches on the gas door of all things.

No other dents though so I was somewhat willing to live with that one until I can get it addressed. There is also paint damage in front of the drivers rear wheel on the plastic lower trim under the door that I need to do something about and looks horrid.

I only bought this because it somehow had not only the exact options I wanted but it also had the ZLZ recall/customer campaign completed. They messed up though and the wood on the doors doesn't match the rest of the car so I'm going to see if something can be done about that.

Mechanically it's near perfect, zero codes anywhere, everything works, only needs the high pressure pump oil seals replaced at some point since they are wet. Very little for me to do, new/like new suspension and motor mounts that I had very good chance to test out since the roads near the Mazda dealer were some of the worst I have seen. Brake are brand new due to them being warped and replaced before I drove it, actuator is also silent and passes all tests. Brakes great 130-20

My last issue is that it has the wrong size tires installed but that's easy to address, all the rims except one are totally undamaged.

Thanks for the complements, it's really just okay at best but once I get the issues I mentioned fixed it will be nice. I'll have more pictures when it's actually presentable lol!

Does someone have the programming instructions for a flat key? I'm interesting in getting one and have heard it requires a specific procedure in order for it to work with a car that doesn't come with unlike the LS 600 H that came with it.

Do used ones work or do I need to buy a fresh one?

Yes TriC, I still remember your flat key you showed me making this 100% your fault lol!

As far as a key is virgin used or not, you should be able to add it to the car using the standard procedure.

Striker, sounds like you got a pretty good deal, especially given the current market scenario. And great to hear no body/metal damage. While my '07 does have some small paint chips on the doors (most likely due to others' door opening negligence), there are no dings or dents, which I attribute to the the quality/gauge of the metal panels in these cars.

Have you kept the Audi? Looking forward to seeing what you do with your LS460, and if you plan on any major mods/customization/upgrades, maybe you'll consider a Build thread to make it easier to follow. Congrats, and welcome to the LS460 ownership world!

Yep I still have the A8, this car is a direct replacement for my 430 since my wife took that one after I let her borrow it for a trip. The A8 is a lot more......German, it is far faster but just doesn't hold up the same as an LS and in no way feels as tight or solid even being 8 years newer and just over half the miles of the 460. Plus the fact the price was quite normal for these items lead me to figure it was a good plan.

I'm sure anyone who has owned both knows what I mean and why I rather not stack a bunch of miles on the A8. It just breaks more and parts cost/ability to even get them is more difficult. It already needed a new camera computer, sway links, a front wheel bearing, brakes, new interior trim clips, headliner sag repair, armrest leather sag repair, and front control arms in only 4K miles. Vs this much older LS that needs high pressure pump gaskets......

I don't know how to fix paint damage is my real problem, I guess I post pictures of the issues so you guys can tell me how stupid/screwed I am and how to try and fix it lol!

Build plan is a 4.08 IS diff, 245/45R18 performance tires, and a tune to try and break into the 4.xx second 0-60 range. Nothing insane but just enough to set it apart, it meets its factory stated 0-60 and 1/4 already so I think I got fairly lucky and this car doesn't have the "new oil change hesitation" issues.

Thanks! You are right, I didn't know that. I thought that version was introduced with the debut of the LS 600, my bad.
