As several here have said, it's all about the tires, RWD, FWD, AWD doesn't make a difference if you aren't running snow tires in snow and ice. Just go to Youtube and search winter vs all season or summer tires. There are tons of videos demonstrating how superior winter tires are to all season or summer tires, This video can be a little tedious, but it strikes me because I use Michelin tires on both my Ferraris. On the FF I use the Pilot Sport 4S in summer and the Pilot Alpin in winter.

That being said, I only run the Pirelli P7 Cinturato on my LS, but then in really bad road conditions I don't have to drive it.

Last December we had a snowstorm overnight and that morning Ferrari of New England had their annual Toys for Tots Drive. I drove the car there and I did get a lot of curious looks.

My 460 has been phenomenal in the snow...for what it is: a big, heavy, RWD, V8 Luxobarge. With decent all season's fine in all but sheet ice, nothing helps you there. Unless you're a non-driving idiot, then I can't help you

I have learnt alot about driving in the snow since last year. 1, sometimes it’s just too deep to F around with especially if I am am snowed in. I did not drive the car for 3 days or more and there was literally 2 feet plus of snow on it, I really need one of those foam snow brushes just to pull off all the snow … such a pain…
it’s the closest it has been was -7, yesterday was maybe -3 deg C car started right up no issues, fyi I use a Bosch or Varta 95ah battery. If you don’t leave anything on and don’t drain the battery you will have no issues starting up. Engine had no issues or strain starting on 5W40 I use Valvoline blue extreme it has been in there since about June and I’m reaching 5000 miles. I’ll be changing soon probably will use some form of liqui molly 5w40 as it is easier to get.
so about driving things I have learnt to get myself out of spots is momentum. If you lose momentum going up a slope, go right down, get a running start. If you don’t have enough traction, turn off traction control. When braking try to brake gently to slow down and try not to press the brake all the way that just lacks in the ice and creates a slick surface, Tap and release and use sport mode to keep things in 3rd gear is what I find best if you are frequently going up and Dian slopes and curves like I have to. Prob very few of you will have this issue unless you live in Europe or in Quebec in the country.
so repeat key points, sometimes you need to turn off traction control, you need to give gas and hold not mash it down but feather in gas wait for it to work sometimes and u might be going side ways up the hill lol relax if there’s no one around just go with it .and snow mode works for straight roads going up and down slopes you are better in sport mode
