LS with a black eye
Well, it happened, LS now has a black eye and who knows how much other damage below. From a quick glance under the hood, the radiator support has buckled, all of the plastic trim is in pieces, expecting to see a lot worse when it goes to the shop and the parts start to come off.

No one was hurt. I'm taking it to a shop I trust. We were at a light at an empty intersection when the car in front moved up, stopped, slammed it in reverse and hit us. Get a dash cam folks.

They are worth every penny. Hardwired if possible - peace of mind and always on. Quickly connected at the scene and got the main video on my phone, then downloaded the whole scene from accident to driving off to be covered since it became questionable.

Sorry to see your damaged car. Glad to know you are fine and have it on dash cam. It looks like an expensive repair with the front quarter panel, grille, bumper, headlight all needing to be replaced. Please update with repair costs and insurance coverage.

About $9500 worth of damage. Insurance is covering it. Got my rental and it's a truck I've been on the fence about buying for months because I wasn't sure if I could live with it, so far it's been good. It's funny because before the accident we set up a rental of one through Turo for a trip we are taking for new year's weekend- that will be the deciding factor as it will be a more optioned one with better seats.
