Need help Lexus LA460 2010

How are you, I have a 2010 Lexus. I changed the engine to the same type, but the 2008 model and I have a sound in the cam when I press the accelerator pedal, but when I take off the pedal it completely disappears. I asked one of the engineers, who said that the camshaft shaft for the 2010 model is larger than the 2008 shaft, so I liked To take your opinion, as there is no warning sign, and with detection, there is no error or wrong number. Thank you to everyone

The Lexus catalog says that LS460 (+ other vehicles) 2007-2020 shares same 4 camshafts.

Maybe this is a language issue. Not certain where you live or if English is your first language but an engineer is someone who designs an item. Did you speak to an Lexus/Toyota engineer who designed the cam shafts? Are you hearing this noise while under the hood while the engine is being accelerated? If not, the sound could be coming from another component. Are you using Techstream to read codes? It's the standard for Lexus/Toyota diagnostics.

Pre 10 and post 10 engines are NOT compatible. There's difference in timing etcetcetc. VVTI-E actuators are different and more.
Also, GCC cars (and op is in ksa...) are vastly different. Most of those have 1UR-FE (no direct injection) instead of 1UR-FSE.

So his replacement engine would require the computer modules for an '08 to be replaced as well as many other modules/components. More likely that's a potential problem than camshafts "sounding" different. He didn't say it sounded bad, just "a sound". Perhaps the OP can tell us more now that there are some responses.
My post was based on Boykie original post which seemed to imply multiple module differences in the '08. So I don't know how many or which modules need to be changed.

We tried calculating the amount of parts and work needed for such swap some time ago and gave up... Noise op hearing can be anything but simplest theory is vvt system constantly trying to adjust timing to tolerable values.
If we talk replacing engine ECU - that's opening pandora's box... Many modules' (and main ones are id box, certification ecu, abs) speak bit of a different language (on bus) on post 10 vehicles.

Thank you everyone for the reply. The computer is now a 2010 model. Do I need a 2008 computer?

thanks for all

In plain English, yes and possibly more.
