Need help Lexus LA460 2010
How are you, I have a 2010 Lexus. I changed the engine to the same type, but the 2008 model and I have a sound in the cam when I press the accelerator pedal, but when I take off the pedal it completely disappears. I asked one of the engineers, who said that the camshaft shaft for the 2010 model is larger than the 2008 shaft, so I liked To take your opinion, as there is no warning sign, and with detection, there is no error or wrong number. Thank you to everyone

Pole Position
The Lexus catalog says that LS460 (+ other vehicles) 2007-2020 shares same 4 camshafts.

Pre 10 and post 10 engines are NOT compatible. There's difference in timing etcetcetc. VVTI-E actuators are different and more.
Also, GCC cars (and op is in ksa...) are vastly different. Most of those have 1UR-FE (no direct injection) instead of 1UR-FSE.

My post was based on Boykie original post which seemed to imply multiple module differences in the '08. So I don't know how many or which modules need to be changed.

We tried calculating the amount of parts and work needed for such swap some time ago and gave up... Noise op hearing can be anything but simplest theory is vvt system constantly trying to adjust timing to tolerable values.
If we talk replacing engine ECU - that's opening pandora's box... Many modules' (and main ones are id box, certification ecu, abs) speak bit of a different language (on bus) on post 10 vehicles.
