Default Looking for brighter headlight bulbs with the best vision?

My eyes aren't what they used to be. I see different bulbs with varying Lumens?

What bulbs are recommended?

are you talking about hid/xenon bulbs? the basic to note is whiter the light less lumens so factory is 4000+k colour, i do think if you are more about vision 6000K is not going to help you, but each person is different. i switched to osram cool blue intense a while ago.

I do see: https://www.osram.com/ecat/XENARC%20...GPS01_3043387/ but i was told these bulbs need to be changed more frequently compared to normal xenon bulbs.

phillips is also a great brand for more money

Uh the 460 has some of the best lights on any car, and they stay aimed well at all times including during turns. They use highly powerful D4s HIDs from the factory, if they are getting old you can replace them with a Phillips replacement from a known source. Ozram is also a good maker

I have never driven a car that has better lights than the 07-12 460, it's extremely impressive and with high beams on it's like there are street lights 400 yards out. I was not expecting it to light as well or evenly as it does.

Peak irony is the LS600 actually has worse lights than the normal 460.

An eye exam is a reasonable necessity. Regardless of age, there are conditions that reduce your night vision, some are life/vision threatening. Please spend $140 for a proper exam, include retinal imaging. My eyes were steady for several years and suddenly, within 8 months, a huge change. As mentioned , the LS has great headlights. Philips and Osram bulbs are used by Lexus because they are superior.

I was thinking the same thing as I initially saw this thread last night. Love the lights on my LS.

I changed my bulbs as the oem lights were too orange in both our sc430 and our ls460. The whiter light greatly increases the lights distance viewing. Maybe thats whats the OP is seeing.

It's so funny (and seemingly accurate) you say this. I do need an eye exam. I'm 46, my vision has changed a lot over the past few months. So, thank you for the info and the push. Wow, this forum is good for my car and good for my life. Thank you. 😃

That is kind of what I was looking for, whiter lights, longer distance viewing (on top of getting my eyes checked). What kind of bulbs did you use?
