Hi Everyone,
I went to do my first DIY oil change on my (2014) LS460 today, and--even with the SST--could not move the oil filter housing a bit. The initial bolt comes out fine, but the rest of the housing will not move.
I have historically had the oil changed at the dealership, for reference. Does anyone have any thoughts/tricks/advice? The cap appears to be the plastic one, not the aluminum one I have seen on other Lexus vehicles (but I can't be sure because I haven't gotten it off yet).
All else fails, I have an independent mechanic nearby who says he'll take a look at it next week, but I'd just like to get the oil change done.
Thank you in advance.

My first oil change done at my indy shop told me they had issues getting it off: they came out from the garage and said the jamokes that changed the oil at the (Infiniti) dealer must have over-tightened it and they might need to cut if off. 15 minutes later, they said they were able to remove it and I breathed a sigh of relief. I'm wondering if this is what you're experiencing?
My 2012 has the plastic housing: there is a completely metal replacement housing (I think I saw it on Amazon) that I'd use if the housing needed to be destroyed.
