How many of you are experiencing no issues…?..!
Hello. This is a great venue for indentifying shared issues with our cars, collaborating with each other and sharing solutions. At the same time, I’m wondering how many among us, like me, are simply just maintaining and enjoying our cars with no issues to report..?
My 460LS is a thing of joy…!
Hope I’m not alone…that many of you feel same

Both bank cat codes, loud rumbling/ vibrating at 1400 rpm, bad dampening on my passenger side, broken seat ventilator switch, vibration at 120 km/hr, bad parking sensor(s), dying amp, drinks oil like a pig, brake actuator barks. I've already fixed the dead side mirror switch.
I should have allocated more money for repairs down the road.

Recently, I have located rust holes located next to the mufflers. There is a gap between heat shields and rear of the vehicle, that is where it rusts through. Visually, I couldn't tell it was there until I washed the car from underneath and then located rusty water in the trunk. A screwdriver went though the metal like though paper. In total I found 4 holes - 2 next to the mufflers and 2 in lower part of the wheel wells on both sides (behind the mud liners). There is a "pocket" created by the lower part of the rear fender causing accumulation of sand and small stones. In causes severe rust damage with time.
Since I purchased a flux core welder and fixed the damage. And the mufflers were rusted too. And the heat shields, I used stainless nuts and washers to fix the issue with heatshields. I fixed mufflers with some sheet metal using the welder. I am planning on removing the wheel liners and treating the body with an anti-corrosion compound.

Disturbing, what are your miles/location/storage/wash/environment factors?

My '11 had 2 issues, sticky interior problems and brake actuator. Lexus picked up the repair/replace tab on both. I bought my this '11 in '13 with 15k miles and it now has 73k. Pretty damn good!

My '11 needs a thermostat. I'll probably just do the water pump as well once I get around to it. I've put 133 miles on it so far this year, so fixing it hasn't been a priority.

2013 62k miles. air suspension. Vegas heat for a few years, now So Cal. 2 new batteries, clock under warranty, warped rear discs due to over tightening of lugs. No problems or issues otherwise. I really love this car.

Absolutely FLAWLESS, 2007 LS460L with 68K miles. Loaded with all options and ALWAYS serviced at the Lexus dealer. Primarily parked in garage with car cover installed and driven on 200mile plus trips. NO major issues since new EXCEPT dealer performed all recalls: sticky interior, front arms and other small recalls. Love it!

2010 with 178k
Bought mine 2.5 years ago from a single owner who had all the maint records and 130k on it. It now has 178 on it and other than maint items its been perfect! Doesn’t burn or leak a drop of oil! Actually looking for a 17 to replace this as I love the V8 and newer body style! Now if they only went with the 5.0 V8 they use in the ISF/GSF when they came out with the LS500 I would be a very happy man!
