Nope, Discount Tire (America Tire here) refused to put the 5th TPMS sensor in my spare because the wheel is older than 10 years (original & never been used). I went back to the original local tire place that installed the first 4 sensors. I did have a guy at America's Tire validate that they could scan those original 4 sensors without issue.
There is one more thing I want to try, I have read on some other threads that a USB phone charger plugged into the recharger socket could be responsible for potentially interfering. I'll unplug this tomorrow and turn off bluetooth on my phone and see what happens, but I'm skeptical this is the cause.

It worth considering that there are multiple posts about Ebay/chinese sourced TPMS sensors and other parts not working as anticipated. That's different than doesn't work at all. Yeah, it sucks that you spent the money already. The fact that the car with original sensors worked fine until the batteries died, is something to consider.
I'm thinking this is the most likely explanation. I might just go back to the garage and ask them to install the sensors they supply, at least that way I'll get some kind of warranty.
Maybe before changing them all again, has someone scanned the car for tpms codes? I know theyre cheapo sensors but out of 5, I”d figure a couple of them gotta be working.
I had them installed at a local tire place and they registered fine (apparently), when I left the tire place all 5 tires were reporting a pressure and literally minutes later I received the beeping sound,
hazard light on the console and the tire pressure symbol. "Check tire pressure system", "Have your vehicle checked by a dealer". I immediately took it back to the tire place and on the way it disappeared.
Later it returned. I assume they only replaced the sensors in 4 of the tires (excluding the spare), so the spare likely has the original sensor.
It is basically intermittently switching from a working fine to errored state, which is quite distracting. I'm wondering if this is due to the cheap sensors I bought, the spare tire or something else. Can anyone advise?
Is there a convenient way to just disable the warning altogether if I can't be bothered fixing this? Thanks.
After looking at your original post, I think you need to get some DENSO Original Sensors. That's what I did when I replaced mine. They've worked well for me. Mine were 30 bucks each.

All five sensors must be working or you'll get a check TPMS light and no readings at all. Don't want to mix and match.
A quick update on this guys, I wound up buying a carista ODBII scanner and managed to catch these errors while I was driving;
I'm pretty sure these errors are from the individual TPMS sensors that just STOP transmitting while driving. So the initial suspicion that it was due to these chinese
ones is likely the problem. Can anyone sanity check this reasoning for me?
My theory would be that the batteries inside are not secure abs moving around inside. I know you don’t have the equipment but if you were able to take one apart and secure whatever is loose and reseal if your problem will probably go away
