Default Some Really Minor Issues

Hello everyone,

I have some minor issues with my LS460 that I would like some insight on.

1) The driver side rear soft close features only works when the ignition is on. When the ignition is off, it does not function. Similarly, the light in the door handle only lights up when the ignition is in.

2) Another related issue, the same door doesn’t lock or unlock (both remote and touch handle). The windows DO work but the seat memory controls are not lit

3) When I unlock the car by touching the driver’s door, it chirps about 5 times.

Thanks

The chirping is the car telling you there is an issue. Check fuses first, I had a similar issue with a rear door (there was no power to the door unless ignition was on, the door would not lock, and it would chirp 5 times)- it was a blown fuse and chirping stopped as soon as I replaced it, along with all of the issues going away. Fuses in this car are not as straight forward and several can control the same function depending on the state of the ignition.

Thanks for the insight! It was the fuse in the trunk. Looks like I didn’t check it properly. All works now including the seats, self-close, and the locks. Thank you!

Now looks like all I have left is the “DVD player error” to solve. Gonna recheck the fuses again but most likely will need a new CD changer since the AUX does indeed work.
