Default 2011 LS600 Dash replacement - Looking for shop that can swap Dash

Hello,
Have a 2011 LS600 with 105,000 miles on it that has a really bad looking dash. Bought one of the replacements off eBay and now need someone with experience that can do the replacement. I've called a few Japanese shops in my Eastern Virginia area and have not found one wiling to make the change. Does anyone know of a shop within 500 miles of Norfolk, VA that can complete this swap? Thanks if you have any ideas. Dan

If that dash is aftermarket, could be the reason no one wants to install it. The potential for a poor fit will scare off any mechanic.

Not aftermarket. Came out of a wrecked car but looks like new.

The dash is not that hard to remove, it's just time consuming because You have to remove so many things before that dash. Have you looked for a mobile mechanic?

I can confirm that it's time consuming . Without the manual no one can do it properly also torque specs .

I've talked to a couple "Lexus" mobile mechanics but they don't want to get involved with it.

Sounds like you have tried. I have several torque wrenches and have seen a downloadable manual for a fee. I'm not a real mechanic. I'd call myself a YouTube mechanic. If I can find enough videos to watch I can figure it out. Haven't found any videos of pulling the whole top of the dash yet.

Removing the old dash and installing another one is complex, time consuming and expensive. I won't recommend DIY. I'm sure dealerships wouldn't take on this job with a used dash. A independent shop might. I've seen pictures of a dash removal on CL and it seems like it's an electronic nightmare with wires and parts everywhere. To many things can go wrong (lighting, rattles and squeaks, etc.) and no room for errors. Good luck and keep us posted.
