2011 Skid Control Module

I thought I would give an update on my brake system issue. I took my car to the Albuquerque Lexus. My experience was totally different than at the El Paso Lexus. I was able to get an appointment within 2 days of my call. I dropped it off at 1:00 Friday afternoon and received a call at about 4:00 telling me they needed to do additional diagnosis since the skid control module was an expensive part. They called about 2:00 today and said it needs a relay block, junction block and battery. The parts have been ordered and it should hopefully be ready by next Friday.

I'd call that good progress!

I got my LS back today and drove it 210 miles home with no issues so far. The 82720-50081 engine room junction block was replaced. I got the old part back and there doesn't appear to be any corrosion on the terminals, but there are several small relays and other electronics inside the block. Hopefully I can put the brake system lights behind me. It might not have been the skid control module after all. Possibly one of many misdiagnosis at El Paso Lexus. I did get a new brake actuator, brake accumulator and ABS relay there.

Thank you for the update! I wouldn't go back to the shop that diagnosed the skid module unit as bad.
