I recall an old post in which the rear of a car fell to the ground. Apparently both air lines have a common joint near the back. I think access sucked if I remember correctly. His joint cracked, car was dragging. I think he had his family in the car early into a few hour long drive. He had to turn back.

I think, it is important to determine if the pump is constantly running. If it does that means there is a leak somewhere after the valve(s). If it does not, than the valve(s) might be the cause.
