‘13 RWD Fsport LCA Help!
Car currently at my Indy mechanic for LCA replacement.
Upon removing the old arm, he’s having an issue trying to remove the aluminum piece off the steering knuckle. Tried with air hammer w/ no avail.
Can someone chime in & advise if there’s a special procedure to get these off?!

This was happening to me when I was changing out my lower control arm recently. I had to put the arm back onto the balljoint a put a pitman arm puller on to get it off. You have to make sure the puller is making contact with that piece and go slow. I also used some PB blaster.

Simple once nut is off place jack under lca and raise till it pops off spindle. Use this opportunity to replace the ball joint on spindle using a press or manual press. I broke my breaker bar with 300lbs of force to push mine out. Took all I had to manual press out. Used harbor freight ball joint manual press. It's doable but not advisable.
