Cabin Filter don't understand, broken?

I took the dash pieces apart https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...tment-diy.html and saw that my blend door arm is broken, not just out of alignment. It kind of ticks me off of course that some guy giving me an oil change caused $1000 or more in damage for the labor to fix it. I thought I would reiterate for people who are wondering how to set theirs if it is broken. With the door down, it is in the fresh air position. With the door opened it will recirculate, but you would probably have to prop it opened with something.
I sat and stared at all the parts to see how you could fix this without pulling out the whole damper assembly. One guy on another post said he put a screw through to reconnect the arm to the blend door. If you could disassemble enough to get a hand in there I can see how that would work because the blend door is balanced to move with very little pressure.
I was focusing on unscrewing the bottom half of the assembly that holds the blower fan. If you could drop it down then I think you could pull that blend door out. You would need a new door and an unbroken lever. Actually you could get by with just a new door because the broken part actually pops out of the lever so you could reuse the lever if you needed to. The picture I included of part number 8702050020 is intriguing because it is $40 from the dealer. It looks like that included the lever and the door. I got it from this post. They did what I am describing, but not on an LS460 and using a different part number. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ml#post9126974
I found this part number that fits an LS460 8702050020
Anyway, just a thought that might help someone who wants to tackle the job. That was just a bridge too far for that day. I decided I'll just live without recirculated air for now.
Broken blend door lever (see the whitest little nub)
Blend door in fresh air (closed) position. Broken lever removed
Close up of blend door lever
Close up of blend door lever with break
Blend door broken plastic and removable inner piece
me pulling blend door hinge towards the blower fan. How you would have to take it out.
Way back there is a pic of the right side (unbroken) blend door hinge swivel. Looks like a little white wheel. It's not locked in by anything other that the fact that you can't
pull it out towards the blower fan because the blower fan assembly blocks you.
Part 8702050020 says it fits an LS460.

Update, I decided to buy part 8702050020 and tackle the broken door. I took pictures and will create a new post showing how to fix the broken door for $24 in parts. Maybe 90 mins labor. But it can be done! Like the guy here described. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ml#post9126974
It can be done on a 2007 LS460. You just have to unscrew some stuff and pry apart the plastic that encases the door and blower fan. Thankfully it is high quality plastic that still bends instead of snapping.
