Default AWD driveline fluids

I thought the trans pan gasket/filter and 3 drain n fills(12 ws fluid) was bad enough at approx $350 cdn for parts, I'm only doing these driveline fluids once.

Very expensive. Hopefully this work gives you many more km of trouble free motoring. I think you're seeing the big picture and making smart choices. It's inspiring.

The price on the LL80 is just insane, I was going to use amsoil or redline for the diffs but it was too far of a drive across town.

They are both open diffs but the rear has something in it that supposedly improves traction hence the lsd fluid, probably a myth.

I paid full msrp according to the online lexus and Toyota stores up here. toyotapartsdirect.ca and lexuspartsdirect.ca charge shipping so that was out.

Redline gear oil is cheaper but is same or better in terms of performance than Toyota/Lexus fluids. However, I went same way you did but switched to Redline due to transfer case vibration, which was resolved.

That's interesting, I was under the impression that LL80 was the only fluid you could use in the transfer case. How long have you been running it?

Ouch, I would have/did use redline/amsoil in my RWD and A8 for the diffs. That's a crazy price for OE stuff

It is being 20-25k miles, no complains. I was thinking to do one more flush just in case.
