Question I can no longer see the tire pressure screen in my Lexus LS460

Hello,

I have a 2011 Lexus LS460 with 105K miles. I love this car and never had an issue other than a brake pad sensor ' I still need to fix that ' and routine maintenance. Recently, I noticed that the screen that display the pressure in each tire disappeared. I tried to bring it back on but I cannot seem to figure out how. I clicked the button that changes the page on the dashboard screen from one page to another to bring back the tire pressure page but I still cannot find it.

Does anyone have a solution to this or know how to fix it ?

At 11+ years old now, if the original TPMS sensors are still in use, it's likely that one (or more) of them are no longer operable. These sensors are the first thing I would check or take the car to a decent tire/wheel shop where they can remotely scan each sensor for a signal.

It appears he can't bring up the page that displays the TPMS pressures. That's odd as you should be able to page through the page displays by pressing the "Display" button.

Keith

When 1 of my TPMS sensors went bad I lost that page as well. Had discount tire replace my sensors and the page was back on my 2010 LS 460L anyway. I would start with replacing the TPMS sensors.

Same thing happened to my 2010 ls460L last year. Replaced all 5 TPMS sensors and all was good.

If one sensor is bad, it disables the system. That's why it's crucial to replace spare tire sensor as well as the 4 mounted tires.

someone mentioned that discount tire changed their sensor and it was good to go.If you change them by another store (besides lexus) do they need to program or register to the system?

Tire pressure sensors can be checked, reprogrammed and installed if needed at most tire shops. TPS are common. I had my sensors replaced at Discount Tire.

I'd like to mention that there have been discussions about buying TPMS sensors online, made in China. Many people have had bad experiences with them compared to buying from a tire store or Costco. If you do buy online, be sure to buy OEM or brand name only.

Had discount tire do my Lexus and Costco do my Tundra. If memory serves me correctly both were about the same price.

I work as sales and service specialist for Bridgestone retail operations and I got to tell you this, Lexus and Toyotas TPMS are finicky, If you cheap out on the sensor, it won’t program or it will program and gives you errors more frequent that never, they range from $89/sensor to $129 and additional $59.99 to program.

it’s an easy process but lengthy so any Firestone complete auto care can have it done for you for close to $500-$600 dollars for all 5 sensors programmed. I hope this helps.
