Default Seat heater **** stuck in

Hi there I have a 2008 Lexus ls 460 and I’m having a problem with the driver side heated and ventilation **** is stuck in and when I press it it won’t come out and allow me to adjust it. I was able to take apart the center console to see the under side but from there I couldn’t remove any piece of it. Any ideas for to to fully remove it or fix it. I’ve included a picture, the grey box is as far as I’ve gotten as I’m not able to remove it.

. I’ve

There seems to be 2 latches (one is visible in the picture facing to the left) holding the switch body.

I vaguely remember this. I think you may need to disassemble the panel further.

As suggested, if a used one is inexpensive, buy it. In my opinion, it'd be foolish to try and clean or save the old one because of the amount of effort it takes to disassemble the console as well as the risk of damaging plastic parts. You could even buy a new one from a dealer. I found a used one for $60 on eBay. But, it's your car and your time. No wrong way.

It's likely just dirty, when I first picked up my 460 I removed all the seats, door panels, and console to clean everything and some of the switches can get buildup that stops them from operating smoothly.

If the switch is cheap though it likely makes more sense to just replace it
