Flat 12V battery - how do I jumpstart ?
This morning, my 2008 LS600hL RSR failed to start. I had the "Parking Brake not Active" message with a yellow triangle. Although I got in, it now seems to be dead. I cannot lock the car, or open the trunk to get at the battery to charge it, or jump start it. I only used the car on Friday and the battery is only 15 months old (and bought from Lexus). So my question is - how do I open the boot (trunk). There's no route through the back seat because of the hybrid batteries and RSR system.
Seen several other threads on this, but no-one has come up with any method, including Lexus. Can anyone help ?

Sorted
I could have deleted the thread, but thought this might be useful. Towards the right hand side (on a RH drive car) under the lip of the boot lid to the right of the number plate lights is a place to put in your manual key. I figured there must be something. It's hard to see, even with a phone torch (it just looks like a screw head). Anyway, it's now charging (it won't jump). After 1 hour, the car lights have come on !

Just an update - while trying to recharge the battery, the car displayed many weird things such as the nearside lights (front and rear) flashing intermittently, the dashboard illuminating and flashing, along with the info screen and the clock. Overnight charge seems only to have fried my charger and now the car is totally dead. The other weird feature is that when I tried to jump start it, it never turned over at all, so it wasn't managing to start the hybrid system up, and after about 15 seconds of pressure, the footbrake pedal, sprung back out. There's really no way a battery should go flat when standing for 5-6 days, something wrong, but I'll have to get it recovered I think. I've run out of answers

@Moderators - would it be possible to move this thread to the 4th gen sub-forum please?
@rodathome, sorry but not sure how to help here as I have 0 familiarity with 4th gens. Sounds like a low voltage scenario, but whether if it's due to the car battery, the hybrid battery, both, or some other factor, I'm not sure...
