My 2008 Lexus LS460 brake actuator and brake pump accumulator needs to be replaced?
Last week I had the dash light come on my 2008 LS460 with the Check VSC System message. I replaced the brake booster and brake actuator. All is working fine now and just wondering if this happened to others and what was your thoughts?

I've used these guys couple of times https://www.mylparts.com/?gclid=EAIa...iAAEgJ8xfD_BwE . The only issue is that your mechanic might refuse to give you any warranty if you ask him to use parts that you bought some place else. That's why when it comes to something involved I personally prefer my shop to deal with parts. This way if something goes wrong it will be between my shop and his supplier.

Thank you for the information on OEM Lexus parts. I compared to my mechanics price and I would be saving a lot off his cut from the markup. It’s hard to imagine that the price for these parts are so expensive. I think my mechanic will be okay installing genuine OEM brand new parts if it could save me some money. He is a pretty cool guy but mainly orders from the dealer which is very costly from the start. Hopefully I can give them some business. How much did you have to pay for shipping? Anyone else used this Lexus Part company before and can vouch all is safe to do business with. This forum is a great-pace and I appreciate all the support. I’ve been a CL member for about 15 years now and I’m still coming back here looking for support and also providing support as well.

Thanks for the information. I am currently in the process of ordering some gaskets kits. I wished I bought my brake actuator and brake booster pump from these guys instead of my local dealer. Now I have a good reliable spurs go to for my genuine Lexus parts.

I suggest for your future OEM parts you try Megazip. They are in Japan and are widely used by members on both the LS forum and the SC 430 forum. Even with shipping they are way cheaper than dealing with dealers. I and many others club lexus members have used them with great results.

The Hawaii Lexus Dealer here on the island is selling their parts way above the MSRP price compared to other Lexus Dealers in the mainland and even Japan. Most mechanic rather use PEM part for the repair and the customer are stuck with the price gouging that is going on with the local Lexus Parts prices, I could have saved about $1500 just for the brake actuator and brake pump booster accumulator if I waited and bought the 2 parts online. My mechanic is a cool guy and will wait until I get remaining parts in from the mainland Lexus dealer. I ordered the fuel pump gasket seal kit, Japan Harrison HID Bulbs, tranny plug washers and OEM Toyota ATF AW fluid, Denso OEM spark plugs and some other maintenance items. These should all be here soon. I’m glad my VSC System Check light is now off and that costly part is repaired. Thanks for all the tips and information.

My Oldest son has lived in HI since 1986. We lived on our 42 foot sailboat in Pearl Harbor for 3 to 4 months in the winter for 15 years so I am very much aware of how expensive things are in HI.

Just for fun here is the part number to the (LS460 Brake booster pump modulator accumulator # 47070-50040) and (ABS brake actuator model #44050-50110)
i already bought the parts from the local Lexus dealer as I didn’t want to keep my mechanic waiting. My brakes are working fine now without the Check VSC System light on my dash. I have a few more repairs to do and all parts have been ordered and should they be here by the end of week. I’ll be replacing my spark plug tubes with new Denso plugs, a leaky fuel pump gasket kit, drain and fill transmission with Toyota ATF AW Fluid and replace both HID with the OEM Toshiba Harrison 4300k HID bulbs as one is flickering. I also bought a spare used OEM Denso ballast for cheap in case one needs to be changed. I’m going to leave all the repairs up to my trusting mechanic. Thanks for checking.

So it looks like th 47070-50040 Brake Booster pump modulator acumulator would run $1234.21 out of Japan and the 44050-50110 ABS brake actuator out the UAE would run $2283.46. The shipping would be about a $150 total from the 2 different warehouses. So you would be looking at $3667.67 delivered. How's that compare?

Was curious, so I ran the parts# listed and found the below results. I did not check shipping or anything else. Have purchased several parts from them over the last three years, so I know they are legit and are part of the South Florida Lexus/Toyota dealership group. Hope this helps.

Did you have to get it programmed by dealer?
