2014 LS460 Windshield Wind Noise/Leak
Hi all, I have recently bought a used 2014 LS460 with 160000km. Before my purchase, the OEM windshield had a clip on it and was replaced with a new 3rd party windshield.
After I got the car, there has been a noticeable wind leak coming from the gap between the bottom of the windshield and the dashboard (red circled region as shown in pictures) on the driver's side. Passenger's side is alright. The higher the car speed, the stronger the air-flow becomes. When the car moves below 60km/h, there is no air flow. Starting from 80 km/h the air flow becomes really strong and at 100 km/h it can blow onto my face which is behind the driving wheel.
I've taken the car to the dealer and they could not resolve this issue. I explained to them but they told me it's how LS was designed and this is part of the defog system.
I've searched the forum and couldn't find related posts so I wonder if you can share some insights with me. There is NO water leak from the windshield, which I am certain, but this air flow issue brings both discomfort and noise and really deprecated my LS.
Thank you for your time!

Thank you for the reply! Yes after testing taping the gap between the windshield and dash on the highway I have finally confirmed that it's definetely a winshield leak problem, as with the tape on I could no longer feel the airflow. I am taking the car back to reinstall the windshield and hopefully they get it right this time.
