Thanks..I weighed the pro's and con's in my modification thread if anyone wants to take this on. Simple simple simple but once I'm convinced the heat won't be an issue , I'm about 80% satisfied. About 4 days of driving. .one hour was longest in 90 degree weather and no issues so far

Are they as bright as normal high beams?

If you turn off the DRL with Carista would it make sense to run these bulbs as a high beam without the PWM? Are they as bright or brighter than halogen high beams.

The PWM puts them at high beam power during the day. I can turn my DRL off via Nav screen whenever I choose. But yes..I can take out PWM and they'll work the same, just can't have DRL on during day or it will flicker

I'd say about 75% as bright when it comes to overall light spread

Those lights look great!

I actually considered buying a 2005 Q45 back in the day, and one of the things I loved was the look of the headlights.

So the Highs become the DRLs? Hmmm. Like you said kind of a issue during twilight hours. Maybe you could post a night time driving to show the brightness of them.

But looks like another nice option.

Looks great! I may just do this as my DRLs are annoyingly dull.
