Default Ls f

I didn't see this posted anywhere, so if it has, my apologies. I saw this last night: https://lexusenthusiast.com/2016/10/...oming-in-2018/

I hope they stick to the script MB has with the s-class sedan: If it's a 6cyl it's a high performance hybrid.

The LFA has 550 horses, so the 611hp LS is not quite a reasonable expectation

They should just mate two 3.5L V6's together and add a twin turbo setup to that. Is it me or does that rendition look reminiscent of an Infiniti?

That's nice! Wow, I would love to get that.

Also, this makes perfect sense and I'm also almost positive the 5 liter will be in the new LS in addition to a V6 TT.

Audi, for example, uses the S6/S7 engine in their base A8. The performance model engine is the base engine of one model up so to speak.

Infiniti is the first thing that popped in my mind too! Looks extremely similar to my eyes as well!

I'm not sure what happened to the thread that suggested 611 HP LS F, but just for comparison's sake, the current Audi S8 pushes over 600 HP from the same 4L V8 TT found in the S7 and A8, just obviously tuned much higher.

So a lexus V8 TT north of 600 HP is reasonable.

So here are my guesses to engine lineups:

2018 LS:
LS300 or LS400: 3L V6 TT pushing the 375-400 HP. This will be the base engine.
LS500: 5L V8 NA pushing 467-471 HP. This will be a mid-grade engine, maybe a $7-10k premium over the base?

2020+:
LS300/400 remains unchanged
LS500 moves to a 4 or 4.3L V8 TT pushing 475+ HP.
LS F is introduced with the same LS500 engine but tuned north of 600 HP. This engine makes its way into the LC F. GS, RC and IS F gets a tuned version of the 3L V6 TT maybe? 450-500 HP?

it would be really cool to see a revival of the LS400 nameplate as I absolutely love them, however I hope they don't DARE put a 6-cyl in an LS. thatd be a crying shame, sort of like the turbo 4 in the GS....
