Exclamation LS500 (2018) Trunk Light does not work

I was installing some LED lights in my trunk and tapping power from the trunk light. I shorted two wires together by mistake and I’m sure I blew a fuse some where, but I can’t find the fuse for the trunk lights. My trunk lights don’t work and my rear door puddle lights don’t work either. Does anyone know where the fuse for these lights are located. I found all 6 fuse boxes, but still can’t find it.

I did the same thing with the ambient lighting on my ES. Accidentally shorted two wires, and couldn't find the associated fuse but it's not that easy! The electrical system is highly complex in these cars, I suspect you and I both shorted out some part of a body control lighting module. If you are lucky a dealer level scan tool can properly diagnose which module is currently failed and either reset, reprogram, or replace it. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I will have to take it to the dealer to troubleshoot. Much appreciated, what did they do to your ES to fix?

I never involved the dealer. I just tapped other ambient lighting (power) wires from the RR door which still worked. My mistake caused all dash related ambient lights to stop working but the doors still worked. In my case I was adding additional ambient lighting (aftermarket) so I wasn't concerned about all that stock ambient lights being dark at that point. I have a workaround, not fix. I would be interested to hear a followup if you take it to the dealer for a proper diagnosis. If you are a DIY kind of person you may be able to use an advanced scan tool or a tool like Carista to find the appropriate diagnostic codes that may be set.

Default #5 fuse

I have an 2018 Ls500, my trunk light and rear flood lights blew as well. It's the fuse box to the left of the battery. It is a number 5 fuse, I want to say a yellow to gold-ish color, its right above a red 10 fuse. Should see them in the middle on the track closest the to battery.

IF im a day late and a dolllar short and u have already take it to the dealer...what was the diagnosis and charges?...
