I’d like a tire that’s good in snow, but sure don’t want noise. Leaning toward Michelin Crossclimate.
As for the ‘02, wife has been approached multiple times in parking lots by guys wanting to look at her car.

Why would anyone bother with a motorized plate on a Mercedes SUV? Those are pure carbage.

If the snow is bad enough, your going to adapt your trip or timing anyway. Its a really nice tire but not like its going to give your more clearance undercarriage or cut thru like a snow tire. Its incrementally better. If it was an every day climate your driving thru, then yes, get it.
My take is they looked a bit funky on my Minivan back in the day. They look great on the Allroad as its got the "butch cladding" they use to beef up its cred, but the LS500 is a different look. Just 2 cents,

Snow Tires
We make regular trips to Evergreen, CO and Chicagoland. Previous vehicle was 4WD F150. I drove in fairly heavy snow for 200-300 miles a few times in the F150. Just concerned that an all-weather tire might not handle it. Prior to two F150s we had a Honda Ridgeline.
I have never driven that kind of weather in a sedan, so am a little apprehensive about doing it in the LS500 without tires that are snow rated.

The LS500 is very heavy so you have that going for you.

my previous car was black and when newer and clean it's the prettiest color. all the beautiful lexus trim work pops and it's classy in a way no other color can be. but, it will be my last black car as I found black shows dirt and imperfections more than any other color and it was just more maintenance that i like.
atomic silver is a great color and looks darker in darker light. I haven't had to do any touch ups yet but i've heard it's nearly impossible to do good touch ups on this color.
