I recently purchased a 2022 LS500 AWD and immediately noticed a “flutter” or jerking in the transmission when at highway speeds. It’s most noticeable when there is somewhat of an incline. Going downhill or just straight flat surface and it’s not noticeable. I took it into the dealership and they stated they couldn’t duplicate it. I asked for the technician to ride with me, where he was able to feel the jerking and immediately knew what the problem was. He stated that the issue was extremely bad in the 2018 LS500. The issue was addressed, to some degree, with a software upgrade. I asked if there was one available for my car, but I am on the latest revision. I contacted Lexus HQ and they had a “specialist” come out and ride with me about a moth or two later. He, too, experienced the problem and asked to keep the car for further troubleshooting. He returned the car with no fix, but confirmed that this jerking was not only observed in my car but 2-3 other similar LS cars. HQ didn’t have an immediate fix. We should continue to push for Lexus to address this. This is their flagship car. It should be treated and addressed as the “bar” all their cars and the industry hopes to achieve. Contact Lexus via Instagram or their HQ and file a complaint until they address.

First off congratulations on your purchase, yes this is sad but unfixed issue from the 2018 LS as well. I did get the re-flash and still has a slight issue. Thank you for sharing that , this is good information and agreed we should bring this up, I will try to brig this up again to my dealership as well as Lexus HQ.
