I didn’t realize Lexus debuted a digital mirror on the LS. I’m really excited to see this car in the flesh.

I tried the camera rearview mirror in a Cadillac CT6 I test drove. It was weird, the perspective is off, and I really don't understand the point of it...

When backing up, does the image display both on the rearview mirror and the Nav screen? Perhaps, some people prefer to see what's behind the car on the rearview mirror. This feature will also allow the driver to see what's behind the car when the view is blocked by stuff on the ledge behind the rear seats.
A related question: Does the surround view feature on these cars work in forward gears at speed or is it active only during parking situations?

I've never seen a surround view system that worked in forward gears above say 10 MPH.
I'm sure one would get used to the rear view mirror thing, but just from a test drive it didn't do anything for me.
