LS Configurator is Live! What are you building?
The LS webpage and configurator just went live on Lexus' website - what are you building? 2018 Lexus LS
My two favorite builds:
- LS500 F SPORT RWD in Ultra White with Circuit Red interior. Added the F SPORT Performance Package, LSS+ A, Levinson Audio, Panoramic Roof, illuminated door sills and paint protection film for a total MSRP of $101,850.
- LS500 AWD in Nightfall Mica with White Leather Interior and Executive Package, LSS+ A, 20" Split 5-Spoke Polished Alloy Wheels, Panoramic Roof, illuminated door sills, alloy wheel locks, and paint protection film for a total MSRP of $109,369.

If my "build" checks out at $90,000.00 (which does not include taxes, title, etc), which is just about what I expected the sticker to be, how much of a discount from that price do you think dealers will be offering in the first 6 months?

That's what I thought. I paid sticker for my SC430 (#12 in town, with 150 on the waiting list), and I paid sticker for my RC350, the first one sold by my dealership in southern Ohio/northern KY. However, I am not so motivated for an LS that I would pay sticker, as I really like my zippy little red RC, which is, according to the unsolicited comments I still receive, an unusually good looking car, with a fabulous red paint job (a $400 option!). I may wait a year or two, and then consider an LS coming off a lease, as I did with my RX, and, going way back, with my SC400. Buying the first one in town can get expensive after a while.
Finally, I was told by my dealer in 2001 when I got my SC430 that Lexus does not allow dealers to charge more than MSRP, regardless of the demand; I presume that's still true. About 3 months after I had my SC430, when the waiting list was still a year long, my salesman told me he had customers who would pay me a premium over MSRP if I wanted to sell my car to them. My response was to regret not ordering two.

It'll be MSRP for a while, but the discounts will come pretty quick.
For those interested, I optioned an LS500 similar to my 2017, it came out to $90,750, about $1,500 more than my LS460L. I'm a little surprised its more since the base price was reduced significantly.

When I did my "Building" last weekend, the first choice was RWD/AWD (along with turbo or hybrid). This is the usual way the site works. After reading your message about no AWD, I went back and you are correct, sir, the choice of RWD/AWD is gone. That's very strange. Especially if your location, "beantown," means Boston (really? Beans? that's the thing you guys are most proud of?) Boston, which is surely a place where AWD would be in high demand.
That's weird.

I just configured an AWD LS500 F Sport, with Mark Levinson and the panoramic roof. $88,554 which seems very reasonable to me.
