Which LS has been your favorite? Your 500 is beautiful.
Oops...You are right, it's 18 years. As to which is our favorite, definitely the new LS 500. The ride is much more luxurious and handling firmer. The new interior design and workmanship are simply second to none. With the new safety features, the experience is not only more pleasant, but also safer.

Your 31+ MPG numbers are from the new LS 500h or the regular LS? My LS 500 is only at about 25 MPG with a about 40/60 city/highway driving.

Standard RWD LS (non F-sport). As I said, those numbers were for a 68 mile trip, about 66 of which were freeway miles. I just turned 5,000 miles yesterday, and my overall mileage shows as 26.1 on the meter. That's with roughly 75% freeway miles.

Default Compliments on Style

I have never ever had as many compliments from passerby’s on any previous cars as I am getting on the 500. Given it is a very distinctive look and has little connection with the past. The grill is finally attractive?

I'm averaging about 19 MPG, 60/40 city and freeway. Not unexpected, about the same with the RC F I was driving. I do get at least one full throttle run to 85-90 MPH every time the LS is driven.

Default 2018 LS-500 F Sport

Does anyone on this forum own the new LS-500 F Sport? If so, can you please share your thoughts about it? I still own my 2013 LS-460 F-Sport, still not convinced that I should switch to the new model, which I have test driven. One of my main concerns is with the fact that the car is now much longer, versus the 196.0 inches of the previous F-Sport. Generally, it doesn't work very well to try to make a longer car sportier. I have heard that the rear-wheel steering option, part of the Performance Package, helps with making the longer car feel "smaller." But with the Performance Package, and other similar features added, the F-Sport can easily get to $100K +. So if you are an owner, what do you think? Is the car a good blend of sportiness and luxury? How is the handling on back roads? Thanks for the feedback!

Your 2013 LS F Sport is 200 inches long BTW, not 196. The Old LS400 was 196 inches long.

I have new LS500 F-Sport AWD as a loaner right now. It's amazing how different it is from my 2015 (AWD F-Sport). It feels like a true sports sedan; it's very quick and responsive. They also fixed the brakes--requires more pedal force now, so they're not so touchy. I do also have a few minor gripes, but nothing that would prevent me from buying this car if I could afford it.

I’m shocked they gave you an LS as a loaner!

Oh, Lexus just earned my undying loyalty this week! First time Lexus owner and first Lexus service experience. I think I know what brand I'll be suggesting my wife get a couple years...

Besides entrusting me with a $100k car as loaner, they're also replacing the sunroof under warranty, replacing the brake pads under warranty, etc. Go Lexus!

Thanks, SW17LS, for the correction regarding the length of the 2013 LS F Sport. I don't know where I got that incorrect information, but it's helpful to be corrected and to know that the new LS-500 is only 6 inches longer than my 2013. That's not a huge difference.

With the Panoramic Moon Roof (front and rear moonroofs), one doesn't seem to be able to ONLY open the roof sunshades without opening the glass moonroofs. Is that correct? Thanks in advance for insights into this.

No, you can open the shades without opening the glass. I believe the rear glass does not open though. (I don't own the car, so don't have the manuals--just a weeks worth of playing around with it).

Read page 144-148 of the owners manual. I believe you can open the owners manual in the infotainment itself. Infotainment also stores videos on how to use the features in the car.

To DerrickM
You state "Besides entrusting me with a $100k car as loaner, they're also replacing the sunroof under warranty, replacing the brake pads under warranty, etc. Go Lexus!"
Are you stating that your new LS500 already needs to have its sunroof and the brake pads replaced? How many miles are on it? How long have you had it?
