Are you happy with your ML system in your LS 500

Yeah, stamp has desktop, iPhone, and Android versions.
I just bought the desktop myself last night to convert my playlists. No verdict on Amazon music just yet because it took all day just to convert playlists.

2020 vs 2015
2015 system was VERY good. At first hated 2020, but with fader balance adjustments better. Biggest problem was distortion on HIGH NOTES which is intolerable to people who listen to actual music. However, FIXED by turning off the surround (2d and 3d). My guess is system has been redesigned for loud bass and egregious noise pretending to be music.

My 2009 LS 600h sounded much better.
Just thinking, my car has laminated side windows, hollow spokes and (afaik) noice cancellation like on modern headphones.
Is the noice cancellation interfering with the music? Where are the microphones so i can cover them as a test?

Pole Position
Not sure where the mics are but cracking a window or the sunroof disables the noise cancelation

I listen to music, I like to hear and feel the bass when turned up. I used to install stereo system back in the day, so I am aware of the limitations and boundaries of stock stereos. At very low volume, the ML is outstanding. Turn it up a little, try to look forward to a little thump felt in your chest, and it is extremely disappointing. Mostly because the panels start vibrating and rattling. I had a brand new RX loaner, and oh my Gosh, that stereo was killer. Then I return it, get back in my $100,000 car, and the stereo sucks. I mean, what a waste. Love the car. But god damn man. The stereo and the design is just as terrible as my 2013 GS. “Shake, rattle and roll”! I spent over $300 to have the panels insulated in my GS, to get rid of the rattling. I guess I have to do it to the LS.

I’ve been enjoying it. Especially in “2D” Better than the BW in my 750. Sub can’t hit low notes (as expected) but for my tastes and volume (about 45) on highway it’s very accurate and the mids punch with some authority at the front of the car, which is something I wasn’t used to.
Thinking about adding a TW3 12 to catch the lows though.
