I'm thinking of installing a dash cam, but I already have cameras all around the car, though they wouldn't image the same as a dedicated dash cam. I wonder if any tinkerers have contemplated using the existing cameras for extended duty.

Just get the dash cam way easier than tinker with the cameras in the car, I would say that's not possible to have it recording.
