Default Brake Pads

I saw some other forums discuss this, but didnt see the 2018 and Newer LS500 forum have any threads about this. Does anybody know of any quality brake pads that are compatible with the 2018 LS500 F Sport Brembos that dont expel so much brake dust ? I can deal with the moderate squeaking, but the brake dust is brutal, just so excessive. I feel like I have to wash the car 2 times a week. Any insight would be appreciated ! Thanks !

Yes Lexus has modified brake pads, they provide good stopping power but nothing like the ones that came with the car. The brake dust is night and day though.

Yes I have them, there is literally no brake dust maybe minimal amounts over a good drive.
This is the TSB Brake Squeal/Squeak - F Sport Issue Fix released 11/2/2018

L-SB-0041-18

This would be the free version, go to your dealership and tell them you want it replaced with these. There are some Toms racing brake pads I believe that are like $200 that would be your other option.

I called both local Lexus dealerships and they said there is no such service bulletin...they did a search under that # and checked it based on the issue, in this case squeaky brakes, etc. Did you run into any problems on your end when you went thru this process ?

I have a good relationship with my service advisor so no problems. Let me try to find the tsb document that way you can bring it to them and they can't turn you away.

Just pm'd you found the document.

How can we find TSBs, other than call the dealer?
Is there a web site?

There used to be a site but it no longer offers access to check for TSIB's and yes I'm very late with the reply.

The person that I spoke to at first told me it didnt exist either, until I found the TSB posted by the NHTSA and showed it to them. They said I would have to bring it in so they can verify it squeaks and then they will replace it. My car sounds like a school bus stopping when brakes are still cold.

I have attached the Toyota/Lexus factory TSB as a PDF to this post. If you print it out, they cannot refute it

Hope that helps!

I bought in my F sport due to brakes squeaking and the dealership changed them because they were already aware of the TSB.
