a Late model LS460L is a car to get. I am keeping an eye out and will pick up that over the LS500. LS500 quality is better than the 460 but its just not as smooth to drive and feels cramped inside. I liked the way 500 drove just not enough to buy one.

I might have preferred a V8, but the engine was powerful enough for my purposes.

Overall though I agree that Lexus has seemed to have lost its way with this car. Whenever I replace my 2007 I'll consider the 500 but I have to get past that grille. Maybe they'll do a refresh and make it smaller.

The LS500 is a severe disappointment, and yes, the LS460 is much roomier, (especially in the back seat) and feels more luxurious than the LS500. The LS500 anemic twin turbo V-6 needs the v-8 like the LC500. And I would not buy the LS500 either. Run flat tires suck and the LS500 has them. The electric seat belt height adjustment is gone in the LS500, and the shifter out of a Prius is a joke. Good decision on your part not to get the LS500

I sat in one at the dealership and was surprised how closed in it felt given its size. I liked the styling though but it will never be my next car because it is too big for my tastes. I currently drive a GS 350 F Sport.

I have the LS500h. Have had MBs for 20 years, both Es and S class. Yes the S class has more rear seat room, but my LS500 is not small in my opinion. My family, and particularly the grandkids love the massage and adjustable seats. They can control everything from their position. I think the car is beautiful with plenty of power. Mine is hybrid, and understand the non hybrid is even more powerful. My biggest complaints are the touchpad and that I cannot access many features while driving. In my opinion it is less safe fighting these issues.I am surprised how many compliments I get, and never got any with the MBs. The nightfall mica color looks great in the sun.
