Default LS 500 Engine Air Filter

Does anyone have a good description on how to change the air filter for the LS 500?

i just picked mine up yesterday. Traded in a 2014 LS460. What a very different car.

Thanks.

Its probably the easiest mostly have to take off the engine covers and there are two of them, unclip them and pull out and replace. I can take pictures when I home but I think someone might be able to get it before I do, if not I'll post later.

Thanks. A pic would be super helpful. I changed them on my LS460 and it sounds very similar,
. I did not see them when i popped the cover on my 500. Maybe i just missed them.

There are some tabs on the side you unbuckle those and pull it up to take out the filter, very easy.
How many miles does the car have that you picked up?

I’ve had the same questions. Your not going to find any DIY info. It’s a dealership vehicle. Considering they only sell 5500 units a year there is not a huge diy market. Plus no one really works on their own LS because they have the coin to take it to the dealer for the service intervals.

Totally agree. I would argue that a good mechanic can do the intervals for you at half the price. I have one that I've used for years. Also, as my car is looked over by a mechanic at every oil change, they see what is necessary and what is not. Big cost savings if you drive the car a long time. Cheers !
