Default Use of 87 octane gasoline

I’m considering trading in my 2014 LS 460 for a new LS 500. Would the LS500 or the LS 500h be more likely to run safely on 87 octave gasoline.

It's a TT, DI, high compression engine......I would suggest not to.

The LS 500 is a vastly superior car.
