Is there a picture or diagram anywhere of the all wheel drive drivetrain on an LS500 AWD?

For sure. Lately this site has gone crazy. That's the second time this week I've posted a reply, and it ends up in a completely different forum totally unrelated to what was on my screen at the time. Hmm, worked fine the first 10 yrs but not so much lately

@sajack to your original question for the AWD diagram. I can't find a photo but I know it's the same general shape/layout as the LS460. At the end of the transmission there's a center differential that has a forward and aft driveshaft. The rear driveshaft drives the rear differential, and the front driveshaft drives the front differential. The front differential is integrated into the oil pan and has one of the CV axels, going through it. I think "The Car Care Nut" on YT has a LS500 AWD review where he puts it on a lift and details they system. The center diff has variable power split (torsen?) and the front/rear diffs are open I think.

Axle running thru the engine oil pan is not very confidence inspiring, reminds me of the Acura Vigor in which the driveshaft or axle ran thru the oil pan. Just sounds like a potential leak problem and an expensive one to repair.
thanks for the video. I have watched many Car Care Nut YouTube videos and really enjoy them.
