Dealership replaced the pads and cut the rotors before and it still sounds like a school bus when stopping. Anyone have an aftermarket solution for this? Saw on ebay some cross drilled and slotted rotors for sale but not sure of them...

 

Im currently in the same boat. Do you know if you ever got the brake pads replaced under the TSB, I know that helped for me when they changed mine. I'm currently looking at Adams rotors and other places to see who makes after market rotors for our car.

 

Yeah I was going to say I thought there was a TSB for this issue.

 

I replaced it once without the TSB during my previous visit. This time they are replacing just the pads under the tsb with a "softer" pad style. I asked if it would be much different, the advisor says it will not be the same type of performance pads. I then asked would it work with the "performance" rotors and if they should not change them all under the TSB..he says its just the pads thats covered. $1200 for the front rotors at Lexus.

I just had them swap the pads just to get rid of the noise for now and am looking at alternatives.
