I did this mod on mine as it had the two rear mufflers nicked on the docks , I just went straight up to 3" all the way through and I have a set of 4" dumps on the end .
Adds almost no extra noise in the cabin but gives a nice burble out the back , sometimes at night when I'm on my own I wind all the windows down and give it a fist full cos then you can really hear it !!

Thanks for all the replies... Cant wait to get this done... Gonna be next week at least... I am REALLY tight on cash this week... I had to dump $500 in diesel in a flatbed I drove last week, and then $200 in my box truck.. only gave me 1/2 tank

And I Dont get paid till tues

I tell ya.. I think it is time to start job hunting... At $4.20 a gal.. I am spending $2300 a month now just for fuel.. and another $1600 a month in lease payments.. I hate to go back over the road... But I need to find a job where I am not payin for the fuel.

thanks again for the suggestions...

If you can find that clip.... it would be really cool to hear what it will sound like..

Thanks

Ken

Cobra??

The LS does not sound like a Cobra at all, no matter how you do it. You can always hear that annoying rasper of a Mustang in ALL their models.

Agreed - even before I had the MagnaFlows it never sounded like a Mustang. Now with the MagnaFlow's it has a sound all its own and I like it

Here is my 99 LS with the muffler delete mod .. the sound has got deeper a little more since the mod and doesn't sound as "tinny". I like it overall.

Sounds really nice.. Just the sound I am looking for.

Did you run the pipes back to the bumper or just leave it as is.? I did not see any pipes near the back..

Thanks

Ken

Just took the rear muffler sections off. You can have a shop run extensions and tips which I might eventually do because I won't be able to afford an exhaust for a long time.

Hopefully it got a lot less tinny because it sounds terrible in that video.

Anyone see better gas mileage after doing this? Besides the obvious weight loss advantage...
