Think it's time to introduce my car, a -94 LS400 (UCF11)
After have been a member on this great forum for a couple of months it hit me that I never introduced my car. So here are some pictures and some information. Enjoy! And comments and tips is always welcome.
Some times it's great with high road clearance...
Some information about the car
It was sold new in Sweden in the autumn of 95. I bought it last summer so I have owned the car for almost 1 year now and couldn't be more happy. I'm third owner.
Had been looking for a LS400 for a long time. But the only ones for sell in Sweden at a reasonable price was imported series one cars. But I wanted a series 2 car sold in Sweden. A series 2 car due to the improvements made on that car and sold in Sweden due to that all LS400 sold in Sweden has airsuspension as standard. Airsuspension is really good to have on the bad roads we have here. So when I finally found this car I didn't hesitated long before I bought it. Especially when it had a full service history. And I was really tired on the car I had then, a -87 Nissan Bluebird. Not bad, but not even close to the Lexus
This is what I have done to the car so far (if you don't count regular maintenance)
*A new transmission mount. Made the car feel smoother
*Get the familiar instrument cluster problem fixed at a local car electronic repair shop. They just changed out the bad capacitors and fixed some bad soldering. And they only charged 800 SEK (around 100$). Followed the descriptions in this post http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/for...howtopic=26776
*New pads and rotors from R1concepts. A very big improvement. But then the rotors and pads on the car was almost worn-out.
*A K&N replacement air filter. Not that big of a different. But an improvement. But the best part is that it is washable.
*A Main's ECU box. Made a big improvement in how the car feels. It definitely feels more powerful now.
*A diamondbrite paint protection treatment.
*New winter and summer tires.
Some things that I'm planning to do
*A rust protection treatment, including some sound isolation improvement in the wheel housing with something called noxudol 3100
*Fix the other common 1 gen LS400 problem I have, the drivers seat twists when I try to recline it. But it's perfect for me the way it's now so it's no hurry to fix it.
*A valve adjustment
*New rear airsuspension struts. The car drops in the rear when standing parked for more than a day. After some more days the car is extremely low in the rear. It's more of a cosmetic problem but I don't want my car to look like an old citroen...
*A new stereo and some new speakers.
Some things I wish I could afford
*A bullet supercharger kit
*A new exhaust
*Repaint the car
Finally I must say that the LS400 is a fabulous car to drive. It's one of the best car I ever has driven. And every one that has tried my car is very impressed. Especially when you take in consideration how much a descent 1 gen LS400 cost. The only problem, exception to the fuel consumption, is that you become really picky in how a car should be

Nice pic's! Nice ride,
Dealt w/ the seat issue, I got mine fixed byu just sliding the connecting rod over to the other side w/ a prybar. Took more time to figure out where the problem was.
